Setting up Communicator E-Mail
To configure your Netscape Communicator to send and receive mail from your SurfersNet.Com account, follow this procedure:
1. Click Mailbox from the Component Bar.
If this is your first time setting up a mail account with Communicator, the Mail and Discussion Groups Wizard box will appear. If not, then you'll need to follow instructions for editing your mail preferences.
2. Enter your Name, E-mail Address, and Outgoing Mail Server as shown in the following graphic, then click Next. Our Outgoing Mail Server is mail.surfersnet.com.
3. Enter your Mail Server User Name and Incoming Mail Server. Our Incoming Mail Server is mail.surfersnet.com. Make certain that POP3 is checked for Mail Server Type. Then select the Next button.
4. The news server for SurfersNet.Com is news.surfersnet.com. Enter in all lower case letters. All mail and news server names are case sensitive, and you will experience problems if they are entered incorrectly. Now click Finish.
